External Antenna to EZ430-RF2500

Hi

I have a question regarding attaching external antenna to ez430 board. I know this is difficult to attach external antenna to the board.

have anyone used an external antenna to get more range?

I saw somewhere that people used "Yagi antenna" to get more range.

Does anyone know how can I use any sort of antenna to attach to EZ430 to get more range?

    You would need to solder on a semi rigid cable on the board (insert before existing antenna match and antenna) and connect what ever antenna you would like to use to the semi rigid.

    what type of antenna can I use.?

    Do I need to completely remove the old ceramic antenna..?

    what sort of semi rigid cable do I need to use? copper one?

    Any  specific dimension or design for the antenna?

    For antennas: Take a look at the antennas Pulse provide and/ or the antennas we supply with our 2.4GHz kits.

    The type of semi rigid is not important but you have to place in in a 50 ohm point on the PCB and remove the connection to the antenna.
