Is there a signed version of the "TI CC2531 Low-Power RF to USB CDC Serial Port" driver? The latest version I have is 1.1.1.0, dated 5/1/2009. We have a design based around a CC2531 USB Dongle that utilizes the driver. Our customer is having problems with the driver being unsigned and very complicated / difficult to install, particularly under Windows 8.

unfortunately, i think there is no (much) newer version for the CC2531 USB CDC software. As can be seen in the product page. The latest one is also dated back to end of 2009:

Yes, we actually do have signed CDC drivers (or really signed .inf files) for the CC2531 (and our other USB devices). We distribute the drivers (and install them as well) with SmartRF Studio (see C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\SmartRF Tools\drivers\vcp), but I've attached the required files here for your convenience. Use the driver update feature in Windows to use the new set of drivers.

I downloaded the .zip file attached to your response. When I attempted to extract the contents I got: "Error 0x80004005: Unspecified Error". However, I updated my installation of SmartRF Studio and it indeed included a signed driver. I updated driver as you described and it seems to be working fine. Thanks for your assistance!
