Hi

I have a small SimpliciTI based network with CC1110s in which several end devices talk to one access point.

I try to send broadcasts with one end device to the access point, but I figured out that it is impossible before SMPL_Init is executed. This is bad, since I try to broadcast a message to the access point, so he will accept join an link tasks to not known end devices.

Is there some kind of workaround, which enables sending broadcast messages on the end devices without first joining to an access point?

it is something which i don't really like with the SimpliciTI API :)

There is a quick and easy workaround for this: remove the calling of nwk_join() at the end of SMPL_Init() function, and put it as a separate API,e g. SMPL_Join(). With this, you can safely call SMPL_Init() without invoking the sending of Join messages.
