Channel Switching time on CC1101

i am switching on 5 channel (changing CHANNR <2M) on the 868-869MHz, i find that my RX/TX need around 10ms to stabilize after  switching the channel which in data sheet is stated about 75ns....

and i don't  apply SCAL after each switching as(<2M)...

but i retained AUTOCAL after each idle to TX/RX

is it normal ?

however, 10ms time is too costly for my application

  • Hi all,

i have checked the datasheet P.54 & Section 28.2 of Frequency Hopping and Multi-Channel Systems

for the solution one , 1) Frequency hopping with calibration for each
hop. The PLL calibration time is 712/724 μs
    (26 MHz crystal and TEST0 = 0x09/0B, see
Table 35). The blanking interval between each
frequency hop is then 787/799 μs.

Frequency hopping with calibration for each
hop.  that mean i need to apply strobe(SCAL) for new frequency ?

    Thanks

  • Hi Jeff,

It seems it is better to use STX and SRX commands. Please see pages 28 and 67.

    Thanks,

    PM

  • Sorry i dont understand,,,

are you mean that after switching new channel, i need to strobe(SRX or STX) ?

    how about SCAL ?

    thanks
