Stream Audio

why people prefer 2.4G than 868M/433M ?

  • 2.4 GHz is ideal for local connectivity such as BLE, Bluetooth and Zigbee with many end devices that support these standards.

For range and robustness, then sub 1GHz is the way to go.

  • I try to follow AN082 but can only get 10m distance in 868MHz......

anyone can achieve AN082 with good distance  ?

  • You should be getting much greater distances than 10m.

First step to debug what is going wrong here is to disconnect the antenna and measure the conducted static output power.

    Regards, Richard

  • Thx Richard,  i can only get more distance(30-40m) by reducing the datarate to 19200kbps.

Is it any idea also ?

PS. My circuit can achieve 300m in 9600kbps in SENDING DATA(NOT CONTUOUS).

  • The range will increase when decreasing the data rate since the noise floor will be lower in the receiver.

At 868 MHz, 250kbps data rate the sensitivity is -94 dBm, 38.4kbps data rate the sensitivity is -102 dBm and for 1.2kbps data rate the sensitivity is -110 dBm.

Each 6 dB improvement will give approx. 2x in range.

You range still seems to be too low.

Are you measuring the range outside with Line of Sight ?

What is your measured conducted output power?

    Regards,

       Richard

  • Thx Rihard again.

Are you measuring the range outside with Line ofSight ?

    Yes.

What is your measured conducted output power?

    Measured 5dbm in spectrum.

: May i ask anyone can achieve 250kbps with 8K speech quality and TX power 10DBm With distance > 50m?

    Thanks
