How to set CC1200 for CW transmission?

What settings are required to put the CC1200 in CW (unmodulated) mode? Is this discussed in the documentation?

Use SmartRF Studio to generate the settings. Select "Continuous TX" and tick of "unmodulated"

Yes, this works. However, I would like to change this programmatically. Are there specific registers that need to be set to turn on and off modulation? I guess I could do a diff on the reg.h files, but that doesn't really tell me what's going on.

If you use SmartRF Studio you see that the registers change color when you switch to un-modulated and the only register that change is MDMCFG2. CFM_DATA_EN=1 which is the only register you need to change to send a CW.
