Hi,

I heard that in hospitals they are frowning upon the use of 900MHz in the hospital environment.

I was wondering if anyone from the TI community can validate this?

I believe this is more related to GSM phones operating in the 900 MHz band that effect some hospital equipment: www.ursi.org/.../KE.4(0944).pdf

The GSM phone in the 900 MHz band can send up to 2W (33 dBm) whilst in the ISM bands the output power is limited to lower power levels.
