CC1200 Smartpreamble with PQT RX termination

Hi, community!

I've short question. Can I use PQT RX termination with SmartPreamble? Since timestamp packet has 1 preamble byte in TI software example, I think PQT RX termination is not impossible. But if I increase preamble of each timestamp packet up to 8-10 bytes, hence, PQT estimation is possible. Am I right?

    Hi Kirill

    You are correct that you can re-write the SmartPreamble example to use PQT termination, but your preamble length must be increased.

    No need to make the preamble 8-10 bytes long, that will only keep the receiver in RX longer before finding a sync word, hence increasing the current consumption.
