Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1200

Hi,

It is using the transmit and receive the CC1200.

1. What possible power measured in the CC1200 on the receiving side the power CC1200 of the sender has output?

2. "CC1200" Do you have automatic power control function is available?

Best Regards,

hamada

  • Sorry, but I do not understand the first question. Please try to re-phrase the question.

The CC1200 can be configured to different power levels through register PA_CFG1. In SmartRF Studio you get settings from +14 dBm to 0 dBm in 1 dB steps, and also some lower power levels in greater steps (e.g. -3 dBm, -6 dBm). CC1200 doe not have any automatic power control function to keep, for instance, the output power constant over temperature.

  • Hi, Sverre.

    Thank you for reply.

    I'm sorry.

Whether the transmission power of the transmission side can be measured at the receiving end?
Can it be considered to be measuring the signal strength in RSSI on the receiving side.

  • The RSSI reading is the amount of power received at the RX antenna. The RSSI, however, does not "tell" you what the TX power is; this is something you need to have control over in SW by setting the appropriate register setting.
