CC1310 - Changing DCDC_SW inductance

Team,

One of our customer are developing CC1310 module. They are asking if they can change inductance at DCDC_SW(L331) from 6.8uH to 10uH. The reason is they are an inductance manufacutring company but they don't have 6.8uH on their line-up. As far as I see CC2650EMK reference design, Inductance(L1) is 10uH but capacitor(C8) is 10uF and not same as CC13xx(CC13xx is 22uF(C331)).

CC2650 is same archtecture so I believe it should be no problem if customer follows same as CC2650EMK(10uH and 10uF).

Can I make sure if this change will not be any issue?

Using 10 uH will be ok but the current consumption will increase some. Note that the characterization is done only for 6.8 nH and DCDC spurs may be different for 10 nH

A DC boost converter, timing of the control signal is based on Inductor value.

As the idea is that you create a short to ground through it as to get electrons speeding up,
but before it gets all the way through you release the "short" and you send this voltage spike to a bulk capacitor to smooth out this ripple.

So go with manufactures recommended values.
