CC1310 recommended antenna and design

I'm starting to develop an embedded system based around the CC1310, but I'm not sure which antenna/antenna setup I should use.

My aim is to develop a platform using this part that can be used in both the Americas and Europe. Ideally having one peice of hardare/one BOM to avoid manufacturing two parts and going through certification twice.

Ideally I'd like to use a small chip antenna if that was possible; saving space is important. Is there any recommended for use with the CC1310? Would one antenna work for both 868 MHz and 915 MHz bands?

Craig,

Unfortunately the size of the antenna increases at the lower bands and if you start "compacting" the design, by meandering the trace in loops (like our own designs) then you will get a very narrow band design.

I think the antenna on the CC1310EMK (www.ti.com/.../CC1310EMK) is about as compact as you can make it and still cover both bands.

Is there any information available on this specfic antenna layout? keepout area, orientation, Design files, Footprints (altium), etc?

Take a look at www.ti.com/.../swra496 for information on a lot of antennas. If you look at the link TA12012 sent (remove the last ')' in the address and the link works) you will also find the full reference design which you can follow.
