Hi.

I'm new in this and hoping to get some pointers to get me started.

i have installed IAR 8051 and smartRF studio and flash programmer with CCdebugger

if i understand correctly, IAR creates hex output file and after that i should use smartrf flash to upload it to chip?

Where can i find very simple code like sending a packet receiving a packet and do some simple data manipulation ?

is SimpliciTI the way to go with this SoC?

Am I too late in the game and should start with CC1310 instaed? i dont see whole alot of price difference between them.

For CC1110: You can find a Rx/ Tx example here: e2e.ti.com/.../1196004

If SimpliciTI is the way to go or not depends on the type of application. First, try to write down a spec for the software you want to run on the device and then see how t o achieve this.

You should look into the CC1310. If you give more details about what sort of device you are planning to make it would be easier to give you more pointers.

Thanks for reply,
lets say we would like to connect a sensor to CC1110 and read it periodically on the access point.
or send a simple command from access point to CC1110 to run small dc motor.

Probably you would be better off looking into CC1310.

Software: Look into TI-15.4 Stack or the node and concentrator examples in TI-RTOS.

On the CC1310 we have added a sensor controller which enables you to read the sensors without waking up the MCU.
