MSK modulation support on CC1310

Hello,

In the data sheet for CC1310 it is said that RF Core supports "Multilevel (G)FSK and MSK".

Could you please advise how to configure CC1310 for MSK support?

Ilya,

You can use a FSK with a modulation index of 0.5 to emulate MSK and GFSK with a modulation index of 0.5 to emulate GMSK. This will degrade the performance of the RX by 2-3dB as this typically will require a coherent receiver to achieve full SNR at this narrow of a modulation. But it will work.

No override. From TA's answer above: "You can use a FSK with a modulation index of 0.5 to emulate MSK and GFSK with a modulation index of 0.5 to emulate GMSK. " This means that you just have to set the deviation equal to 0.25*symbol rate to get modulation index 0.5.

Sorry, I'm not an expert in RF modulations.
In RF Studio the only choice for CC1310 I have is GFSK and LRM. So how can I configure CC1310 to work in FSK first?
Once it is done, with FSK I an try to emulate MSK.

The modulation format is possible to set in the CMD_PROP_RADIO_DIV_SETUP on the right hand side. Double click on the command for description, you need to change the modulation field (double click on this to edit)
