CC1110-CC1111: Use packet sniffer to find the data rate and Transmitter Mac

Part Number: CC1110-CC1111

Hi everyone,

I am using packet sniffer to see the packets info. Is there a way to find out the MAC of the transmitting device? and how can we find out the data rate?

Thanks,

Qamar

  • Not sure what you are looking for here. Is it so that you have a few RF devices and want to know data rate (perhaps phy?) and protocol of these?
If so, the packet sniffer is not the right tool as this requires that you know the exact frequency and data rate for each setup. It is easier to use RF studio, change the Rx settings (phy's and frequencies) till you see anything valid as it is much more flexible to test various settings on the fly....
Not much help perhaps, but I talked to the designers of SmartRF studio, and there is no easy way to do what you are asking about.
