Hello,

I'am trying to send a message from my CC1310 via a USB-Uart converter to my PC, and want to receive it with HTERM.

I use the Programm uartecho. If I send something, then HTERM Shows me something, but it's wrong

And i receive that:

Can anybody help me?

I did a test where I took the UartEcho example on the CC1310 LP and downloaded it (unmodified). I tested it agains HTERM (115200) and it worked as expected. I then changed the baud rate to 9600 and tried again, and this did also work (after changing the baud rate in the HTERM as well). The only change I did to the code is shown below:
uartParams.baudRate = 9600;

Hello,

ok, so it has to be my wiring. I have connected only Pin 2 and Pin 3(Rx,Tx) with pin 2 and 3 of the seriel Slot of my pc.

Is there something missing?

We have never tried this example by connecting RXD/ TXD directly to the serial port on the PC, we use the UART over USB. But I would assume you at least also need ground connected to give the signals the same reference.

I tried now also to connect it with a USB to Uart cable. I send something down and it echos be back something, but it's wrong like you can see in the Picture below

Here is a Picture, how i wired everything:

Do you maybee see any mistake?

If your converter has RS232 levels, you may be cooking your chip.. RS232 uses up to +/-25v although most adapters only use +/-8v or so - both are far beyond what the CC1310's inputs are rated for however.

If the levels are appropriate 3.3v TTL levels, you also need a ground connection.

Fwiw I'm using serial at 2MBaud for my debug console currently and it works great.

You are right, there a different Voltages!

I'll order a USB-to-Uart convert(or a Max232) and then it has to work.

Be aware that your Launchpad may already be damaged. If it still doesn't work with a proper adapter, you may need a new launchpad.

I like this USB-TTL serial adapter: www.dfrobot.com/product-147.html simply because it has a voltage jumper.
