Hello,

I am currently trying to send data from CC1310 to an external FTDI board through UART. I have connected I tried to use UART echo example on CC1310. In proram "UART_write" function is showing data on

XDS110 Class Application/User UART on terminal as well as on FTDI terminal. But when I try to send something from FTDI terminal to CC1310 then no data is received on CC1310 terminal. Am I missing something? Kindly help me solve the issue.

If you use LAUNCHXL-CC1310, you can use XDS110 Class Application/User UART to test UART echo example and don't need to use FTDI board. You can use terminal tool such as teraterm to open XDS110 Class Application/User UART COM port and it would echo whatever you type into it.

Thanks for reply.

But as I stated in my question my aim is to send data to another device with UART and not just execute UART echo example. Here I am assuming FTDI as an another module on which CC1310 should send the data and receive data from FTDI on CC1310.

If you use XDS110 Class Application/User UART COM port to test UART echo example, does it work? By the way, how do you connect FTDI board to your LAUNCHXL-CC1310?

Yes, UART echo example is working fine. I have connected TX of FTDI to RX(DIO2) of CC1310 and RX of FTDI to TX(DIO3) of CC1310 and ground of both are connected together.

I just to the same test on my LAUNCHXL-CC1310 which connects to TX of FTDI to RX(DIO2) of CC1310 and RX of FTDI to TX(DIO3) of CC1310 and ground of both are connected together. Everything works fine.

Thanks for giving time to test. I am also now able to do the same but would you be able to send data from FTDI terminal to cc1310 terminal with same connections? I am facing problem for this. I am not able to achieve bidirectional data transfer.

I see the same issue if I do the test step. However, if I change UART pins settings as the followings, I can send/receive data from FTDI terminal on IOID_4 and IOID_5.

I`m sorry, but how to flash programming of CC1310 LaunchPad over UART, I connect CC1301 LaunchPad to FTDI (Rx-Tx, Tx-Rx, GND-GND), I can read data from CC1310 on Tera Term.

Yes, i did it, Realy I get the following error and "Failed" on Flash Programmer2 but it actually program and verify successfully.

I have connected I tried to use UART DEBUG BOARD, I removed all jumpers on P4, keep only GND and reset Jumper (for reset). And used External Power, so not related to the circuit above.

But I can't connect CC1310F128 (USB Serial Port COM10-CC1310F128) on Flash Programmer 2. Always need to do "Mass Erase"?? Because I removed those Jumper, so I can't do `Mass Erase`, Or Where am I wrong!

Flash Programmer Status:

>Initiate access to target: COM10.

>No response from device. Device may not be in bootloader mode. Reset device and try again.

If problem persists, check connection and baud rate.

>Connecting over serial bootloader failed: No response from device. Device may not be in bootloader mode. Reset device and try again.
