CC1310: CC1310/CC1190: very poor performance, can we have a design review from a TI employee?

Part Number: CC1310
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1190,

Hello,

We recently fabbed a new revision of our IoT receiver board (CC1310 based) and added the CC1190 PA. We based the board layout and RF chain design off of the new CC1310+CC1190 lauchpad design. After doing some initial tests we seem to be getting very poor RF performance. Could a TI employee have a glance at our board and advise if any changes need to be made.

Thanks.

  • Sure, I can take a look at it. If you don't want to post the design open on the forum you can send me a friend request. I would need schematic in PDF and layout as gerber files.

    - What do you measure in TX and RX? (what is very poor)
    - I assume that you have double checked that the control signals to CC1190 is set correctly when sending/ receiving?
