CC1310: How to use driverlib API to do the 32KHz RC crystal calibration

Hi Team,

My customer is using Contiki 6LoWPAN stack developing products on CC1310.

Now they want to remove the external 32KHz crystal to save cost.

My question is how to use driverlib API to do the 32KHz RC crystal calibration manually.

Hi,

this is not trivial. Contiki does not implement oscillator calibration. The customer would need to re-implement that functionality. The oscillator driver in Contiki.can be found in <CONTIKI_DIR>/cpu/cc26xx-cc13xx/dev/oscillators.c and inter-operates with the lpm module.

The customer would need to study oscillator calibration in the Power driver carefully. The code is available in <SDK_INSTALL_DIR>/source/ti/drivers/power/PowerCC26XX_calibrateRCOSC.c.

Implementing this functionality is beyond what we can do in the APPS team, but I am happy to review if the customer would like to contribute to the upstream Contiki.
