CC1310: Battery powered cc1310 without bulk capacitor

Hello!

I have my custom small board, based on cc1310, placed inside #1 Antenna from DK2. It's powered by CR2032 battery.

I know, that TI recommends to place P-channel MOSFET and bulk capacitor following the battery ()

It's not too much space on PCB, so i removed buck capacitor (C1, C2, C4, C6, C8 in TIDA-00489) and left only P-channel MOSFET.

For now, board works fine, but what problems i can have in long term?

For battery applications we strongly recommend a 22 uF cap on the VDDS side (see the reference designs for CC1310). This is to help the battery to deliver the current required, typically going from standby to active.

My board sends temperature every 10 minutes, estimated battery life 10+ years.

Questions:

1. How variant 3 will affect to battery life?

2. If i remove transistor Q1, how it's will affect to battery life?

No, you still have to have the decoupling on the various pins to get the wanted RF performance.

Not sure about the functionality of the transistor, probably protection switch.

In TIDA-00489 described about that transistor: "...minimizing the forward voltage drop in normal operation".

So, if do not need "coin cell battery inserted backwards" protection, do i need this Q1 transistor?
