LAUNCHXL-CC1350: Significance of 6lbr Smart RF Settings file

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC1350
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1350

Hi,

We are working on 6LoWPAN mesh network with CC1350 as node (running web demo) and CC1350 (running slip radio)+ BBB (running 6lbr) as gateway. We have configured and changed the Smart RF settings file as per our needs in the webdemo and slip radio code and it is working fine. But we can see a Smart RF Settings file in 6LBR code as well which is running in BBB.

So as per our understanding Freq band, channel and smart RF settings are valid only to the slip radio and webdemo codes as these 2 codes are running in CC1350 where it requires RF Settings etc. And 6lbr code which is running on BBB is not using smart rf settings etc as this is done in the slip radio code. Is this correct?

So we would like to know the significance of Smart RF Settings file in 6lbr. Is this file only valid when we run 6lbr in CC1350 with spi to Ethernet board?

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

Rahul
