CCS/CC1310: working with collecter and multiple sensors

Hi I used the example from project 0 and i additionally made 2 sensors to connect to 1 collector but I need to differenciate the sensors as in sensor 1 and sensor 2 and seperate the results i get from the sensor.How do i do that? am very new to this please advise

What project zero are you referring to?

I recommend you have a look on the Simplelink Academy trainings available on propriety RF, it shows for example how our WSN Node example works with multiple sensors.

But it uses easylink . I only can use TI 15.4 stack

Each sensor node in TI 15.4 Stack has a specific short address so you can use it.

I suppose you should use "LCD_WRITE_STRING_VALUE("Sensor number ID:", pSrcAddr->addrMode, 10, 5 );"

well bro but it just shows me 2 and not the mac address how to do whereby it shows the mac address of the sensors?

MAC address should be in pSrcAddr->extAddr but if your addrMode is 2, it means using Short address and pSrcAddr only has pSrcAddr->shortAddr information.

Do you mean to get the sensor 64 bits address on sensor code or do you mean to get it on collector node?

ok see I have connected the sensors to 1 collector and using putty now,as it displays the sensors reading I want it to display the mac address of both the sensors in the putty

When sensor joins collector, cllcDeviceJoiningCB in collector.c will be invoked and you can have device 64 bit address in pDevInfo->extAddress in cllcDeviceJoiningCB. If you wand to display 64 bits address, you can try to do it in cllcDeviceJoiningCB in collector.c

You can try to put UART printf of 64 bits address in the following code section of cllcDeviceJoiningCB().

Try to use "LCD_WRITE_STRING_VALUE("sensor id: 0x", pDevInfo->extAddress, 16, 5);" instead of "LCD_WRITE_STRING_VALUE("sensor id",pDevInfo->extAddress);"

You have to add "#include "board_lcd.h"" in the beginning of collector.c to use LCD_WRITE_STRING_VALUE.

If you set a breakpoint on "Util_setEvent(&Collector_events, COLLECTOR_CONFIG_EVT);" in cllcDeviceJoiningCB() to check pDevInfo->extAddress in debug watch window, what's the value do you see?

I suppose you can use sprintf to format address into a string buffer and output the buffer by LCD_WRITE_STRING

I find sprintf would causes some problem to the program so I suggest you to use the following codes instead of sprintf and LCD_WRITE_STRING.
