CC1350: BATMON - resolution

Hi,

the reference manual states that the ADC in batmon has a 50 mV resolution, but the battery reading seem to only report in 125 mV steps.

Could you explain how these two numbers relate and whether the actual 50 mV resolution is possible to read out?

Could you outline how you get the 125 mV steps?

Hi Mads,

Do you mean the actual readings you take via the DriverLib batmon API are only in 125mV steps? In the technical reference manual the example readings given are only steps of 0x20, or 0.125 mV, but the actual step size is a bit finer.

I tried now to read out the BAT register while turning the supply voltage, and it looks like the step size of the fractional part is ~0.047 V, or code steps of around 11-12. (0x0B, not 0x20).
