CC1310: I2C Accelerometer code examples to run on the CCS RTOS

Part Number: CC1310

Team,

Do we have I2C Accelerometer code examples to run on the CCS RTOS on our CC1310?

Thanks

Viktorija

  • Hello Vik,

We have a BNI160 implementation for simpleLink devices located here:

  • Hello Cecil,

Thank you for your timely response.  I was able to build the bmi160 accelerometer project on the cloud.  When I expanded sail_1_20_0_2.zip
into folder C:\ti and imported the bmi160 project I get the summary:
Issues that may require your attention were encountered while importing the project
    Reason
    Details
    See details below.
Error: Imported project-spec file not found: C:\ti\sail_1_20_00_02\${COM_TI_SIMPLELINK_CC13X0_SDK_INSTALL_DIR}\kernel\tirtos\builds\CC1310_LAUNCHXL\release\ccs\tirtos_builds_CC1310_LAUNCHXL_release_ccs.projectspec!
Our company has spent a lot of time and energy learning off line tools and projects.  Do you have BMI example projects that build and work off line?

  • If you are using CCS you might have to install the CC1310 support. Re-run the installer and it will give you the option to install it.
  • Hello Cecil, Viktorija

I am having a little trouble tracking down the "install the CC1310 support" link. Could you provide the link?

    Steve
  • You need to re-run the CCS installer. You don't have to reinstall the whole program, it will just install the chip support.

  • I assume that you have read the how to install/ import here: dev.ti.com/.../ for the plug-in?

Also starting from the I2C example in the CC13x0 SDK is an option.
  • Hello Cecil,

I have updated Version 7.2 of CCS and downloaded Simplelink_CC13x0_SDK version 2.10.0.36.

I have rebuilt project i2cbmi160 and still get the following errors:

    Description Resource Path Location Type

#10010 errors encountered during linking; "i2cbmi160_CC1310_LAUNCHXL_tirtos_ccs.out" not built

These files are not in Simplelink_CC13x0_SDK version 2.10.0.36.  Do you have any suggestions.

  • See dev.ti.com/.../release_notes_simplelink_cc13x0_sdk_2_10_00_36.html for which version of the software you have to use for this SDK version.
  • Hello Stuart,

  • i2cbmi160 report.pdf

    Hello Cecil,

No, the issue is still open.  We still can not build and run i2cbmi160.  Attached is a document that summarizes where we are at.

  • Hello Stuart,

I read your PDF documents and it sounds like at the end you were able to get it done, but we do not expect you to go through so much trouble. I just started a fresh install and work space in my PC and imported the 12cbmi160_CC1310_LAUNCHXL_tirtos_ccs. It compiled, build, and linked successfully on first try without having to download anything additional.

I did notice that the tirtos project dependency it has is from the 1.60 SDK, one thing I recommend is making sure the tirtos build project is using that or that you have that SDK installed in your PC and just start on a fresh workspace.

    Regards,

    AB

  • Hello Cecil,

No, i2cbmi160 has never built. I will reproduce what you stated that you did. If this does not work, I would like to discuss this on the phone.
  • Hello Cecil,

We started a new workspace and imported i2cbmi160 project from sail_1_20_00_02__win.  It did

not build.  We get the same errors show in the att ached file.  I don't know about "tirtos project dependency it has is from the 1.60 SDK", but we are using simplelink_cc13x0_sdk_2_10_00_36

  • This is a really hot project for us that is taking much to long to make meaningful progress. How can we get timely help from TI?

    Kindest regards

    Stuart

  • Hello Stuart,

I would like to know if we were able to resolve your issue on our phone call last week?
