CC113L: How to change to 915MHz using CC113LEM 868/915 MHz Reference Design

Part Number: CC113L

Hi,

Our customer use CC113L, and the frequece need 915MHz. Now refer CC113LEM 868/915 MHz Reference Design.

The question is how to change to 915MHz? Which 2 discrete component and change to what value?

By changing 2 discrete component values, this antenna can also be matched to 915MHz.

A small and compact PCB helix antenna that will be useful for applications requiring a high antenna efficiency in a compact area. The 868 MHz PCB helix antenna is only 19 x 12 mm (L x W) and has an efficiency ~70 %. By changing 2 discrete component values, this antenna can also be matched to 915MHz.

Thanks

Walsh

  • ANT1, ANT2, ANT3 are antenna tuning components and can be used to tune the antenna when needed. From 868 MHz to 915 MHz only changing ANT2, ANT3 is sufficient.

Note that the antenna tuning is dependent on the size of the ground plane in addition to the casing used. Hence a tuning should be done on the customer end product to find the value of the tuning components.
