i add a sky-66115 in cc-1310 project to improve tx output power, and it help a lot ,but in the same time , the sky 66115 also reduce rx sensitivity, for example, two rx modules receive a same signal source, the rssi of the module with sky-66115 is -60 dbm, while the rssi of the other module which dose not has PA is -40 dbm, here is my sch. is there any way i can improve rx sensitivity ?

Hi MIchael,

It looks like you are following the reference design correctly for 433 MHz. Have you configured the RF_P-port to be TX and RF_N-port to be RX? See chapter 2.4.2 here: www.ti.com/.../swra528.pdf

setup config.frontEndMode = 0x02 while in RX mode, and setup config.frontEndMode = 0x01 while in tx mode, as the reference design said.

And biasMode set to 0x1 as well?

Schematic looks fine. See you have limited board space so the layout is somewhat different from our reference design.

Let me start with the obvious: Have you verified that CSD (DIO8) and CTX (DIO14) are set correctly? In RX CSD = 1 and CTX = 0.

in rx mode, set CTX(DIO14)=0,CSD(DIO8)=1, in tx mode ,set CTX(DIO14)=1,CSD(DIO8)=1

You can export code from SmartRF Studio and include the files in your project. For IO control, the CTX signal can be controlled from a RF Core signal, see chapter 11.3.3 in the TRM. The CSD signal shall be high both in RX and TX and should be controlled manually.

can you provide a piece of code example? also , the 11.3.3 in cc1310 TRM is Map 32-kHz System Clock (LF Clock) to DIO/PIN, did i downlaod the wrong version TRM? Literature Number: SWCU117G February 2015–Revised February 2017 is the version of what i used now.

Hi Simon,
I meet the same question, can you tell me how to change the frontEndMode in the easylink code? I need to change the tx and rx mode in the code. When I call an EasyLinkInit() second times to change the frontEndMode, I could't receive the correct data of radio! Please tell me how can I change the FrontEndMode in the easylink program! Thanks!

I have try to call the EasyLink again when I want to change the FrontEndMode when I need rx or tx, but after that ,I could receive the correct data of radio!
