TIDEP0084: Sensor-module does not connect to the MAC-Coprocessor-Module.

Part Number: TIDEP0084

We have purchased the „TI SimpleLink Sub-1 GHz Sensor to Cloud Linux Gateway”-Kit. Now I have the following problem. The sensor does not connect to the MAC-Coprocessor. I have cleared the nonvolatile storage but nothing happens. Both LEDs Red:DIO06 and Green:DIO07 are off. I detect, when I push the reset-Button on the MAC-co-processor-module, the green-LED flash, but on the sensor-module, nothing happens. What‘s wrong ?

  • Hello Reiner,
I asked a colleague to take a look, but the response might be a bit delayed. Thanks for your patience.
  • Is the co-processor being initialized by the linux gateway? if you are testing the co-processor by itself without an application processor such as the beaglebone black initializing it then no sensor will be able to connect with it since it has not created a network. Another thing to look into is opening the network for joining, if the co-processor has not opened the network for joining then the sensors wont be able to join. Also make sure you pressed the right button on the sensor so it starts looking for a network to join.

    Regards,
    Hector
