CC1125: CC1125 vs CC1120

Part Number: CC1125
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1120

Good afternoon,

What is the difference between CC1125 and CC1120. I already use the CC1120 chip for a GFSK transceiver with channel bandwith of 15KHz and I would like to know if there are a gain to use the CC1125 wich didn't exist when I chose the CC1120 chip.

Thanks,

  • The CC1125 is a narrowband version of CC1120. The CC1125 are able to run on 40 MHz xtal which gives somewhat lower phase noise. If you have an application up and running with CC1120 and are happy with the performance you will see very limited gain of moving to CC1125.
