Is S parameter data available (S2P format) for the CC1190?

  • No.

    What do you need s-parameters for? The s-parameters are small signal and is therefore not very useful for the PA. I highly recommend using the reference design.
  • Large signal Source impedance/load pull would be nice.
  • We have done load pull on CC1190 but:

    The PA output of CC1190 has to see the optimal impedance. At the same time the harmonics has to be filtered sufficiently to pass ETSI/ FCC. For ETSI the conducted second harmonic has to be attenuated much more than the ETSI limit since the radiated value is a lot higher than the conducted value. Hence following the reference design will shorten the development time and the risk a lot. For customers that are not able to follow the reference design directly I would advise to run a ADS (or similar) simulation on our reference design and compare S11, S22, S21 with the customer layout and adjust until the same values are achieved.
