CC1350: CC1350 Output Level coming lesser compared as per data sheet (coming- 0dB; should be more than 11dB)

Part Number: CC1350

Dear Sir

We have designed a custom board based on cc1350 (5x5) package (CC1350F128RHB).

Layout, design guidelines are as per eval board, LaunchPad from TI

Output Spectrum at the output of CC1350 shows level of 0 dB (with more spectral noise, as compare to eval board)

The lesser level is not allowing integration with Power Amplifier, as PA requires min level of 10 dB

Pls confirm possible reasons for this.

I need to mention here that I am using TcXO of 24MHz (Abracon Make) for CC1350 5x5 package.

Regards

  • Hi Vikas,

There could be many reasons for low output power, typically it is caused by poor layout. If you post a picture of your layout and schematic we can take a look at it.

Note that CC1350 does not support TCXO. It is recommended to use a crystal.

    Cheers,
    Fredrik
