Hello! I launched an example of a simple-udp-rpl project based on the c1310 chip, but the search for a slave device over the network periodically takes a long time (about 2 minutes). Is it possible to do something to find a device faster?

Hi Sergey,

What you are describing confuses me. What is the "slave" device? A UDP client? And how are you "searching" for it?

Hi Edward,
I called the remote device the slave device.
My question is the following .. I'm trying to run an example from Contiki located in the directory ".. \ contiki \ examples \ ipv6 \ simple-udp-rpl" (unicast-sender.c and unicast-receiver.c) and the process of finding a remote node occurs quite a long time .. How can I speed up the process of finding a remote host?

Do you have a sniffer available to observe that DIS packets are transmitted on the air?

No, I have only two devices that exchange packets. I noticed that if you run "unicast-receiver.c" after running "unicast-sender.c", then the connection is established almost instantly. And if on the contrary, it is long.

What you can do is to setup a sniffer on one device, and run either unicast-receiver or unicast-sender on the other device. You should observe a DIO packets from the unicast-receiver and DIS packets from the unicast-sender.
