CC1200: CC1200 Synchronous Serial Mode 1Mbps

Part Number: CC1200

I would like some clarification on synchronous serial RX mode with 4FSK encoding. I am looking to use the CC1200 to receive a 1 Mbps stream in 4FSK mode. I couldn't find many timing diagrams for the serial clock, but looking at Figure 30, it appears as though the clock ticks are non-uniform. Is this a real effect in the system, or merely a graphical representation? The application I am considering would use the CC1200 to receive timing information, so it is important that the clock ticks uniformly.

Thanks,

~Reggie

  • I am pretty sure that what is shown in figure 30 is how it really is. I am not in the office this week, so I do not have a CC1200 to test on, but you can easily perform the tests yourself. Just connect two boards to SmartRF Studio, select the settings you want and the select cont. RX. You can then monitor clock and data on GDO0 and GDO2.

  • Hi Siri,

Thanks for the response. I don't have a CC1200 to run the test on, I was just checking about the feasibility of using it in a system.

    Thanks,
