CC1200: Burst access to extended register space to write the carrier frequency

Part Number: CC1200

Per the CC1200 User's Guide, it states the following:

Namely the last line: "Registers not listed in Table 5 can be part of a burst access".

Therefore my question is: Can you burst write the carrier frequency?

It would appear as if the answer is NO, since FREQ0, FREQ1 and FREQ2 all reside in Table 5: Extended Register Space Mapping.

  • Just for the record, it IS possible to burst write FREQ0, FREQ1 & FREQ2. The documentation must be incorrect as it does function.
I assume the correct wording should be "Registers listed in Table 5 can be part of a burst access".
  • I agree that the sentence does not make sense. Both regular register space and extended register space can have burst transfers, but you cannot combine accessing the two different register spaces in one burst.
I guess the best thing would be to delete the sentence all together. Not sure that there will be an update of this document any time soon, but I will make a note of it.
