CC1310: How much current can be pulled from the IOs

high-drive capability GPO can offer upto 8 mA. Don’t know if it’s feasible to provide 20 mA with 3GPOs but you can try it.

ok. The other questions is how many GPIOs can I drive with 8mA at the same time. Eg. if I drive 10 GPIOs with 8mA then I have 80mA running through the chip. Is this ok?

As I know, there are only three high-capacity GPOs on CC1310.

There are 5 high drive strength IOs. All can be driven at the same time.

I have to come one more to the max current. Customer don't want to drive the pin but want to sink the current. Is the 4mA or 8mA which the port can be sinked? Then does he has to take care to limit the current or is this already limited in the port? This is not clear in the datasheet or TRM. In the TRM it is written Min 4/8mA.

TRM IOCFG0 register IOCURR bit:
Selects IO current mode of this IO.
0h = 2MA : Low-Current (LC) mode: Min 2 mA when IOSTR is set to
AUTO
1h = 4MA : High-Current (HC) mode: Min 4 mA when IOSTR is set
to AUTO
2h = 4_8MA : Extended-Current (EC) mode: Min 8 mA for double
drive strength IOs (min 4 mA for normal IOs) when IOSTR is set to
AUTO

If you look in the datasheet the sink/ source currents are measured by sinking/ sourcing 4 mA/ 8 mA and record the logic high/ low values. If you try to sink/ source more than this the '1'/ '0' levels will be outside typical CMOS levels.

this is understood. Customer want to drive a LED with the ports. He needs as much current as possible, he don't care about the CMOS level. In this case can he go over the 4mA/8mA?
