Hi,

I just got couple of LAUNCHXL-CC1310 following boards:

Rev: 1.4.1

PG 2.1

FW Rev: 1.0

1733

I didn't manage to make XDS100 onboard debugger working under x64 Ubuntu Linux, regardless of driver install or any procedure described here.

What bothers me is TI known issue note

Known Issues

XDS100v1 debug probes are not compatible with Ubuntu 16. We are working with FTDI to resolve this.

On my system after all drives installed as root I still get: "Cortex_M3_0: Failed Board Reset: (Error -260 @ 0x0) An attempt to connect to the XDS110 failed"

When do " > lsusb " command in terminal I see there is some Texas device on the bus: "Bus 001 Device 038: ID 0451:bef3 Texas Instruments, Inc." So there seems to be at least USB cable connection to the LAUNCHPADXL-CC1310 board.

However there is no virtual com port listed, but my main priority is to make XDS100 onboard debugger working first.

Any Ideas what could be wrong and how to make the XDS100 onboard debugger working under linux, is it actually supported or are there any other known issues?

Hi Kaloian,

LAUNCHXL-CC1310 has a XDS110 debugger on-board, not XDS110.

Have you mounted all of the jumpers on the LaunchPad?

Have you tried updating the XDS110 firmware with xdsdfu? See: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../XDS110

Try to replace an USB cable and restart system to test again.

Hi,

Yes, XDS110 was typo mistake.

Unfortunately I was not able to update firmware by using xdsdfu, because it does not find any XDS110 device attached.

The cable is also not a problem since there is actually some Texas Instruments USB device on the bus visible with " lsusb " command: "Bus 001 Device 038: ID 0451:bef3 Texas Instruments, Inc."

My problem was gone when moved to new Ubuntu 18.04 version instead of 16.04. Due to any unknown reason after installing drives at 18.04 exactly the same way as I did in 16.04 the XDS110 was discovered and worked correctly. So it was probably something related to drivers when used on 16.04.

Good that the issue has been resolved after updating Ubuntu. I'll then close this thread.
