CC1310: TI-STACK 15.4 Collector : Removing NV_RESTORE in Frequency hopping mode and have more than 50 devices

Hi Guys,

As far as I know, the reason why CC1310 cannot handle more than 50 devices in STACK is that Lack of Flash memory, when it works as a Coordinator.

Is it possible for the CC1310 to handle more than 50 devices by removing NV_RESTORE capability with Security disabled?

If possible could I please know the how many?.

(I'm using STACK in FH mode with 64 hopping channels, speed 50kbps and 3 seconds reporting interval)

Thank you for your reply.

I'm sorry that I wasn't so precise in getting the maths done and I couldn't facilitate myself with 100 devices to test the scenario.

If we could forget about the communication and flash restrictions, could I please know if the gateway that equipped CC1310 is capable of handling 100 devices in terms of ram usage with or without MAC layer security?.

The answer to that question should be covered in the first part of the post I linked to. And I'm not sure why you want to "forget" some of the limitations since they are still limitations.

Hi TER,

The ultimate goat is to have 100 devices per collector where the reporting interval is flexible and NV_RESTORE disabled. That is the reason why I kept aside the other limitations.

As per your answer I believe it's impossible to have 100 devices per collector.
