CC1310: Transmit Bandwidth requirement for different data rate in 868MHz and 915MHz bands

Part Number: CC1310

Dear All,

It would be of help to point me to listing of different transmit occupied bandwidth against the modulation used for different datarates that can be used with CC1310 in 868MHz band and 915MHz band.

thanks in advance

  • We don't have a list like this.

    For FSK the following is approximately correct:
    OBW = datarate + 2*deviation

    For GFSK the OBW is less due to the shaping.

    What is the main purpose by having a list?
  • Appreciate your quick reply.

    Having the list will help to determine the bandwidth required for the operating band and suitability of the band for the kind of intended application.

    for example,
    We intend to use 868MHz band and wideband transmission of 4Mbps in our application. I need to know if 4Mbps datarate is possible in this band, if not what is the possible data rate!

    The data rate achievable determines the range that can be used for communication and thus the constraints on the application.

    If there is a table that captures, this information, it would be helpful.

    Alternately, could you point information related to 4Mbps implementation on 868MHz?

    Regards

  • The SmartRF Studio does not show 'selection' for 4Mbps operation, when CC1310 device is selected. Does that mean the CC1310 will not support 4Mbps datarate? Will this not happen in the future too?

  • This example:  contain the 4 Mbps settings. Are you able to measure OBW?
