CC1352P: TX / RX idle issue on SmartRF

Part Number: CC1352P

Hi ,

I have 2pcs CC1352P 433MHz PCBA (not TI's EVB) on hands.

When I used SmartRF (version 2.11.0)  to do TX/RX test, one is correct to work and another always show IDLE.

May I know which situation will show "IDLE"?

Johnny

correct -->

error_TX idle-->

error_RX idle-->

  • A common cause for SmartRF Studio to show IDLE is that the firmware that the program uploads to the chip is not working as wanted. Have you tried the rfPacketRx/ rfPacketTx examples in the SDK to see if that runs as expected?

    It could be a hardware issue with your board that causes this or that somewhat bad connection somewhere causes the program to not run as wanted.
  • Hi,

    I tried the examples in SDK, still the same. IDLE.

    I am sure something wrong on this board.

    Cause I have another works fine with same kit.

    I am not sure which point I should start to check on the fail board.

    Cause SmartRF can know this fail board is CC1352P.

    And also looks like SmartRF can control this fail board.

    Just active wrong....

    Any suggestion for me?

    Johnny

  • Is this boards you have designed or have you received them from a third party?

    If the non RF examples in the SDK runs on the board as expected I suspect the 48 MHz xtal. It could be that this is not running as expected. If so I would suspect that cmdFS will fail.
