CC1310: XDS not detecting

Hello TI,

We have received our new board with XDS and cc1310 module, when we connect usb cable XDS not detecting so we are not able to flash

Got "An attempt to connect to XDS110 failed" error

So we connected XDS lines from TI launchpad to our new board cc1310 , XDS is detecting and able to flash successfully

Why we are not able to detect with new XDS chip? Is there anything to be programmed XDS separately?

When you ask “Why we are not able to detect with new XDS chip?“ what is new XDS chip you mean here?

TM4C1294NCPDT is XDS chip in our EVK wid cc1310, when we connect USB cable XDS110 class Auxiliary data port is not detecting

To see if I understand you correctly: You have designed a board with a TM4C1294NCPDT + CC1310?
- Why have you included the TM4C1294NCPDT in the design, is the purpose to make something similar with the launchpad?
- What image have you downloaded to the TM4C1294NCPDT?

Our board is not exactly same as TI launchpad, this customized board

We are trying to flash application to cc1310 through TM4C1294NCPDT XDS using usb connector, but XDS is not detecting and getting an error like attempt to connect XDS110 failed

We haven't separately programmed TM4C1294NCPDT, Is it required to program XDS before trying to flash application to cc1310?

Yes, I think you have to program TM4C1294NCPDT as XDS first.

If you install CCS, I suppose you can find firmware.bin under C:\ti\ccs_base\common\uscif\xds110

I did not find any firmware.bin in ccs folder , but i found in C:\ti\uniflash_4.5.0\deskdb\content\TICloudAgent\win\ccs_base\common\uscif\xds110 so i tried to flash this firmware.bin using uniflash tool but again getting an error "[ERROR] CS_DAP_0: Error connecting to the target: (Error -260 @ 0x0) An attempt to connect to the XDS110 failed."

I assume you tried to upload the image via a separate jtag interface connected to the TIVA?

When we connect TI Launchpad to PC we can see XDS110 Embed with CMSIS-DAP

When we connect our board to PC we can see Tiva Device firmware update

You didn't answer my question. To upload the relevant firmware to the TIVA you have to use the JTAG interface you have as testpoint on your PCB. Are you using this when trying to upload firmware?

Hello

We are flashing through USB only same as TI LAUNCHPAD but those JTAG signals we have taken out for optional

We are not using those jtag signals for flashing TM4C129NCPDT

Please find the below error details while flashing we are facing

The cause may be one or more of: no XDS110 is connected, invalid firmware update, invalid XDS110 serial number, or faulty USB cable. The firmware and serial number may be updated using the xdsdfu utility found in the .../ccs_base/common/uscif/xds110 directory of your installation. View the ReadMe.txt file there for instructions. (Emulation package 8.0.27.9)

The first you have to do is to flash the TIVA with the firmware YK pointed you to. This has to be done through the JTAG interface for the TIVA. If the TM4C129NCPDT doesn't contain any code you will get error messages when using the USB port.

I believe you can use a XDS100v3 or a xds110 and uniflash.
