CC1110-CC1111: CC1110

Part Number: CC1110-CC1111

Hi,

I am using CC1110 in a project 434MHz and recently I had a problem where flash was erased. I found some forum topics about this problem, but without solution.

The hardware was installed in a truck. The problem occur when the PTT button of PX radio was press. Radio works range 136-174MHz.
Every time PTT button is press, CC1110 reset and normally, the third time, it erase flash.

The distance between antennas is about 5ft. If I change the angle one of them the problem no occur.

Thank.

  • Could you go in more detail on what happens when the PTT button is pressed on the PX radio? I don't know what a PX radio is.

If the PX radio starts transmitting when you press the PTT button, what is the output power? What is the power in the 433 MHz you operate in?
  • Hi,

I'm sending a link to download radio PX datasheet:intelisense.com.br/.../catalogo_dgm4100.PDF

PX radio is a device that truck's driver use to talk something another driver.

The start transmitting occur when press the PTT button. The output power is 25W.

CC1110 radio feature at my operation.

    -Frequency: 433MHz

    -Modulation: ASK/OOK

    -Power output: 10dBm

    -RX filter bandwidth: 203KHz

    -Channel spacing: 199.951KHz

    -Baudrate: 4.8 kBaud

    -Manchester: ON

  • 25 W is a high output value. From the description it's clear that the high power for some reason causes a reset. If the reset occur when the device access the flash this could easily brick the device.

First could you check how the reset_n line look like when the PTT button is pressed? As the datasheet states the reset line is sensitive to noise and it could be that the 25 W radio causes noise on this line.
