CC1352R: CC1352 Low Power Mode

Part Number: CC1352R

Hello,

I am using CC1352R controller. I Powered Up  controller with 3v. I programmed  pinStandby_CC1352R1_LAUNCHXL_tirtos_ccs and  PinShuntdown_CC1352R1_LAUNCHXL_tirtos_ccs  examples to test current consumption in standby and  shutdown modes. current consumption in

 Standby mode : 0.8mA.

 Shutdown mode :150µA .

when No code in controller then current consumption is 5.72mA.

According to datasheet  current consumtion

In Standby: 0.83 µA
In Shutdown: 125 nA. Why power consumption is more in my case??

  • Hi Mamatha,

How are you measuring the current? Is it according to www.ti.com/lit/pdf/swra478 ?

Note that on the CC1352R LaunchPad revision 0.4 there is an RF switch that consumes power in all states. The external flash will also add some to the low power mode current consumption.

    Regards,
    Fredrik
