PLEASE HELP setting BLE "simple_peripheral sample" application to work.

I am loading "simple_peripheral_cc1350lp_stack_FlashROM" project to the LAUNCHPAD

Then I am loading "simple_peripheral_cc1350lp_app_FlashROM" to the LAUNCHPAD

Still - no signs of life not on the UART screen, nor on the mobile phone list of Bluetooth devices.

Shall I make any changes in the sourse code???

Hi Boris,

In this project, displays are disabled per default. (See the compiler predefined symbols, BOARD_DISPLAY_EXCLUDE_UART and Display_DISABLE_ALL are defined).

You should be able to see the device advertise.

Thanks Marie, I deleted that predefined symbols from the project options and see Initialized and Advertizing messages in UART window.

Also, as I undestood from other related discussions, I will not be able to see our device in normal Bluetooth connections list on my mobile.

I can see it only in special mobile application named SimpleLink Starter. Is that correct?

Hi Boris,

Glad it works now!

To use BLE with a smartphone you need a BLE app, for example SimpleLink Starter (or you can use Light Blue, BLE Scanner etc)
