CC1350: Read Rssi value from cc2541 based HM10 Bluetooth Module

Dear Ti,

now i am desired to tracking or find distance for my devices, so i choose CC1350 launch pad for tracking bluetooth device distance. there is possible to read rssi value from other bluetooth module like HM10(it is have CC2541 IC). if there is any possible please let me know, and if you have any examples for my concept kindly attach that for my reference.

I think it should be no problem. However, TI doesn't provide BLE observer example code for CC1350 so I suggest you to use other BLE chips like CC2541 or CC2640R2F to act as BLE observer.

thanks for your reply, and sorry i can't change my bluetooth observer, i want to use cc1350 as a observer and HM10 act as a transmitter.
there is possible to read multiple HM10 rssi value with my cc1350, please let me know.

Maybe try to revise host_test example for CC1350 to make it keep doing BLE scan.

Dear Chen,
i am a newbie for CC1350 and also CCS, So can you please shown a exact path for my concept.
i was find host_test example in ble stack-tirtos-ccs but there is two files are available
1.host test library
2. host test app
i don't know how to check my HM-10 RSSI using cc1350, if you can please explain that.

For host_test, you need a host application like Btool to do scan. You can refer to dev.ti.com/.../index.html for Btool usage and I suppose you need to write your own application like Btool to get RSSI since Btool seems not parse/output RSSI of scanned devices.

Dear chen,
i wan't to read RSSI value of my HM10 module with the help of CC1350 evaluation kit, and print the RSSI value to UART. that is i need. so if you can please say to which example is used to read my HM-10 module RSSI.

thanks for your support, i was find my CC1350 RSSI with rfWSNConcentrator and node examples. but this is working on sub1 ghz but my HM-10 modules is working on 2.4GHZ. that's why i can't communicate with my cc1350 and HM-10.
can you please tell me how to check rfwsnConcentrator and rfwsnnode example with 2.4GHZ, and let me know is it possible or not.

As you memtioned, CC1350 rfWSNConcentrator is only for sub GHz and TI doesn't provide example for 2.4G rfWSNConcentrator. Without TI support, I don't think it's possible for you to do 2.4G rfWSNConcentrator by yourself. By the way, you should use BLE observer or central to scan iBeacon signal not rfWSNConcentrator.

I have replied you TI doens't provide provide BLE observer or central to scan iBeacon signal example for CC1350. I would suggest you to post this BLE question on Bluetooth® forum instead of Sub-1 GHz forum to see if experts there can help you.
