yes I know TI didn't specify narrow band perfomance yet, but I need it and can't wait. And it's obviously available in the HW.
So I made some real life tests with 2 LaunchXL boards in prop. mode, starting with standard (CHBW-Symbolrate-DEV) 98/50/25k. This should have a sensivity of ~-110, according to data sheet.
I attached the boards to two laptops and after starting paket transmission, I moved away with one of them keeping an eye on PER.
(CHBW-Symbolrate-DEV):
After the first test I cut settings to 50/25/12.5, then to 12.5/6/3 and finally 4.9/1.2/1.
I figured out a slight improvement each time (starting at ~50m with 100k CHBW, then about +20m each in urban envirnoment to a a maximum of ~100m), but even in the smallest setting Smartf-RX reported -110dBm as smallest value - falling down below there wasn't any more transmission possible, even the 'paket not ok' counter stopped.
Can you give me an estimate if that is what I can expect? Why can't I see anything below -110 (expected ~-120 according to cutting CHBW by factor 20, 4.9k::100k)
