CC1310: CC1310 RF testing

I am planning to run RF performance testing in CC1310 (I am using CC1310 module from Radicontrolli).

1. I would like to know if there are any windows based tool where I can perform below tests by connecting this module directly to the Laptop (using USB to UART converter).

Range test to capture the RSSI
Throughput testing
Continuous packet transfer for long duration testing
Setting the TX power & operating channel

2. How many channels does CC1310 (915 MHz) supports, Please share the list of channels ?

You can look into SmartRF Studio, www.ti.com/.../SMARTRFTM-STUDIO

The chip supports 861 MHz to 1054 MHz. Based on the channel width and the min/ max channel frequency given in FCC you can calculate the number of channels.

I have a CC1310 module with only UART interface and I am planning to connect this module to PC using USB to UART converter,
will I be able to perform above tests using SmartRF tool?
If it supports my device, which RF design has to be selected in the SmartRF tool?

SmartRF Studio uses the JTAG interface. If you only have a UART interface you have to write firmware that does what you want yourself.

I always have trouble finding it, but the CC1310 Simplelink SDK has an RFPacketError test that just uses the UART. It is in the driver section of the examples.

No, that's it.

This example can use UART as a display but as far as I know you are not able to give commands over UART.

Right, you use the buttons to change settings and get menus and results via UART. But it is more than halfway there!
