CC1352P: Periodic Warm Reset

Hi,

We are finding that our devices are resetting themselves every ~20 minutes. It can be more or less than 20 minutes but its always at quite a fixed interval.

We see the reason is warm reset. We are not resetting the device and are not aware of anything that could cause this type of reset.

Could you advise us about what this could be about? What are sources of warm resets?

Hi,

The very first reason I am thinking for "warm reset" and "periodic" is a Watchdog.

Hi,

We don't allow the watchdog to reset the system, we call SysCtrlSystemReset(). This was due to a problem where if the watchdog did a system reset, it caused a hardfault instead.

Perhaps this is fixed now?

Does SysCtrlSystemReset cause a warm reset?

I think our watchdog timeout does not relate to the reset time, but I will look at the forum post you linked

Yes, SysCtrlSystemReset() causes a warm reset.
