CC1200: CC1200 TRX_SW Functionality

Part Number: CC1200

Good Afternoon,

Is it possibile to have a description of the CC1200 internal switch timing?

Before TX/RX you need to change the switch state. Once a TX is issued by SPI, How earlier is it activated before the TX start? how long is held on, once the TX ended?

Thank you,

Alessandro

  • Hi,

Please refer to Table 4.13 ( Wake-Up and Timing) of CC1200 data sheet.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Again sir,

I know very well that table. But this was not my question. I apologize, i think my english it's not good eough to explain myself.

    Let me try again please.

What i meant with my previous questions was a bit different then what is written on table 4.13.

I think you know that when you switch, es example, from RX to TX you should switch the RF switch to the correct path and wait for the proper settling time.

Otherwais the risk is to start the TX phase while the external switch has not yet switched.

So i think that the CC1200 before turn on the PA and start to TX should wait some time settle to the TX switch position. (available externally Pin 18)

The question is if you have any available data on this timing....

    Thank you again,

    Alessandro

  • Hi,

It will be less than 43uSec.

We recommend to use one of the GPIO to control an external LAN, PA or Tx/Rx switch. Please refer to section 3.4.1.1 in the CC1200 User Guide SWRU346.

    Thanks,
