Hi,
I'm designing a PCB with CC1352R and the RF switch PE4259.
I realized that the circuit in CC-Antenna DK2 connected to RF common pin is different from PE4259 specification document.
In DK2 we have an RC high pass filter of 8.2 Ohms and 100pF (C91 and R20 in board #8), whereas PE4259 document recommends to connect two 0.5pF shunt capacitors to this pin (images below).
TI CC-Antenna DK2:
PE4259 specification document:
Why was this RC filter added to the RF switch common port, and the shunt capacitors removed?
Which option should I choose in a custom board with CC1352R?
Thank you for your attention,
Bruno
Hi, TER.
Our goal is to provide an antenna diversity path and not to multiplex the BLE/Sub 1GHz bandwidths.
So, we are looking for a RF Switch and not using the diplexer from CC1352R LP.
Hi,
The RC filter was added after recommendations from Peregrine at the time. Peregrine is now Murata.
The shunt caps were removed since these were mainly for Peregrine specific application board for fine tuning.

Richard
Hi Richard, thank you for your response
Would you recommend adding this RC filter in a custom board which uses CC1352R?
Is this filter specific for CC-Antenna-DK2, or a general recommendation?
Thanks for helping,
Bruno
Hi,
If Peregrine originally requested this RC filter then I would add it to a new design. This can also be removed later on (using just 0 ohm and NC) if you do not need it.

Richard
