Having followed the LPSTK TI 15.4-Stack Example on the SimpleLink Academy, I have a collector network open and ready for sensors to connect to. I need guidance on troubleshooting the LPSTK sensortag to connect to the network. I have changed the radio frequency to EU region (868MHz) for both the dmm_154_sensor_remote_display_oad_lpstk_app_CC1352R1_LaunchXL_tirtos_ccs program and the collector program.

For the OAD example make sure you are loading both the Sensor + BLE DMM example and off-chip BIM using Uniflash:

The next step is to use a logic analyzer sniffer to debug over-the-air communication or the CCS/IAR debugger to check operation of the LPSTK-CC1352R. Make sure that the jumpers are properly connected for either battery or external power.

Hi Ryan,

The SLA example I am following is the LPSTK 15.4-Stack

I have got as far as the debugging for the Sensor not connecting to the network. I have been using Code Composer Studio and loaded the off-chip BIM [cc13x2rlp_bim_offchip] and the Multi-sensor [multi_sensor_CC13X2R1_LAUNCHXL_tirtos] programs to the LPSTK. Then, I loaded the DMM 15.4 Sensor RD [dmm_154sensor_remote_display_oad_lpstk_app_CC1352R1_LaunchXL_tirtos_ccs] via the App on my phone (OAD) as the example suggests.

I have had a look at the Project Zero example, but the hardware requirements says "

2 x Compatible LaunchPads, refer to the Supported Devices/SDKs section
2 x USB Cables "

I only have one LaunchpadXL-CC1352R and one SensorTag LPSTK-CC1352R so I don't think I can use this example!

Could you provide more info on the logic analyser - is there an example I can follow in the SimpleLink Academy?

Hi Richard,

Is the Collector device's network open for joining? Are you using the same frequency, mode, and channel for both? The LAUNCHXL-CC1352R1 and LPSTK-CC1352R use the same SIMPLELINK-CC13X2-26X2-SDK and the CC1352R examples are compatible for both hardware platforms. I mispoke with logic analyzer when I meant sniffer, you can refer to the PACKET-SNIFFER tool for more information but this will require another device.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your reply! I have succeeded this morning! Collector device was open for joining, the correct frequency mode (non-beacon), 868MHz was all correct. I chose channel 2 on the sensor, and had channels 0,1,2,3 for the collector. This morning I updated the collector to just use channel 2 and this has done the trick! The sensor connects to the network no problem now.
