Hi,

When associating a sensor (based on the example Sensor, cc1310) with the collector (based on the example collector, cc1352r1), the sensor in scan mode consumes a lot of power. Our system is very sensitive to long-term continuous consumption of high current, because the sensor operates on charged capacitors and external power supply is not always available. There is no way to use the battery, the system is out of service. In this regard, the association process is not complete, and the sensor power is lost, because the energy of the capacitors is not enough. How can you get out of the situation? Is it possible to somehow get out of the situation?
How can I understand while the ApiMac_mlmeScanReq function is being executed in active scanning mode, the RX channel is on all the time, is it?

Hi Alex,

I would recommend you to take a look at the timing settings in ssf.c. E.g. if the sensor is not scanning for so long, maybe the battery will be sufficient to complete the association process?

Hi Marie H,

What to look for, please tell me what settings? I set CONFIG_SCAN_DURATION to 1 second, but it didn't help. Can I set the value to less than 1 second?

Our device is powered from inductive coil with output current 0.5mA and 1500uF bulk capacitors. During association power supply drops below 1.8v. Is it possible to increase the time between data sending to achieve sufficient time to charge bulk capacitors?

Can you try decreasing the backoff time as well?

How are you measuring the energy consumption.

Hi Marie H,

If I decrease CONFIG_SCAN_BACKOFF_INTERVAL, then scanning will be even more frequent and consumption will be higher. Now costs 5000ms

I look at the oscilloscope voltage across the capacitor from which the controller is powered. I see that when the voltage is <1.8V, the controller reboots.
