LAUNCHXL-CC1310: Code Composer Studio does not have the syscf

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG, CC1310

Hi Team,

Good day.

Customer is going through the CCS tutorials for the CC1310 and it keeps saying that the a *.syscfg should be in the example projects. They also tried creating a new empty project and it also does not add the .syscfg.  According to them, when adding an empty .syscfg to a project after creation the SysConfig UI seems to work.

I'll copy the complete query below.

"My problem is more of a fundamental one. It seems that many of the projects in the tutorials are missing the *.sysconfg file all together. Please refer to pic1. I tried importing it anyways and it still is not showing. And I dont think its my configuration, because if i add one, as shown in pic3 the sysconfig tool shows up after I add what board its targeting.

Ive gone through the initial setup of the sysconfg through the tutorial and and its not there.

Currently I've been making due with out the sysconfig working, but in pic4 I have hit a hard block by this. The tutorial is expecting a generated sysconfg header file of "ti_drivers_config.h". However its not there as shown in pic5

pic6 is my installation versions of CCS and sysconfig"

Thank you and looking forward for your kind response.

  • The CC13x0 SDK (and hence the CC1310 examples) does not use sysConfig. This is only supported for our CC13x2 devices. Please refer to the documentation which states that you should use sysConfig for CC1310, so that we can fix this.
